U18 Madison Show Out in Kingston
The U18 Wranglers and coach CJ Madison were on home ice last weekend apart of the Girls Hockey Challenge and came away with the silver medals in the B finals! How did they get there, well here is the weekend recap!

The U18 Wranglers kicked off tournament action on Friday in a battle with the Kanata Outlaws! A tightly contested battle through all three periods wasn't enough to decide a winner for the opener as the game would end with both teams tied at 2 and taking the draw. Later in the day the girls would be back in tournament play looking for that first win as they took on the Pembroke Lanark-Valley team. The Wranglers would come out flying and firing on all cylinders as they would get the win in a massive 5-1 victory.

Day 2 the Wranglers would look to continue their success on the ice as they would be set on course with a clash against the Rebelles de Louis-Riel and a gritty battle would ensue but would see the Wranglers fall 2-0 in the penultimate round robin game. Our U18 Wranglers would close out their round robin as they would take on the Ottawa Thumpers. The Wranglers would battle hard for all three periods in a close game but would come out on top with a 1-0 win to end on the right foot.

Sunday playoff hockey would be in store for our U18 girls starting with a semi final matchup with the Ottawa Freeze, and our girls would be prepared for the cold as they would defeat the Freeze 6-0 to move onto the finals later in the day! They would be met by the Ottawa Thumpers in a round robin finale rematch for the trophy, and it would be another closely fought battle between the two squads but this time it would see the Thumpers getting the better of the Wranglers as the game would end 2-1.

We're so proud of how the weekend went for our U18 Wranglers and can't wait to see them back in action later this spring season.
