U13 Barnden Wranglers Weekend Recap
The U13 Wranglers took on their first tournament of the spring season last weekend in Kingston as they challenged the Girls Hockey Challenge in a weekend full of memories and strong hockey!
The tournament opened up on the 2024 spring season for the Wranglers and Coach Barnden as they would be matched up with the Kingston Kodiaks and would battle with heart for all three periods but would fall to the Kodiaks at the end of the final buzzer 5-0. They would be back in action later in the day as they still were learning how to play with their new friends and teammates and would clash up with Team Fierce Black. It would be an back and forth battle with unlucky bounces going against the Wranglers who would unfortunately drop game two 5-0 to end day 1.
Day 2 the Wranglers would be ready to come flying out against the competition and the action would kick off when the Wranglers would take on the LeverageTek Wolves for a morning battle. It would be a close battle as both teams wouldn't give an inch to the other throughout all three periods as it would end deadlocked at 0 and the teams would take the draw. The round robin would come to a close as they Wranglers would be amped to play The Jets in their last game. They wouldn't be discouraged and would battle spiritedly against The Jets but they would lose to The Jets 3-0 to end their tournament.
