Weekend Recap From Ottawa!
Our 2015 Wranglers Allen were up in Ottawa this past weekend for the Capital Victoria Day Classic! Here is how their weekend played out!
The tournament kicked off for the 2015 Wranglers with a matchup with the Alymer Pirates! This was the teams first ever game together to kick off their spring season! The game was fast paced and full of action with the Wranglers unfortunately falling to the Pirates 6-1. Later in the day, our Wranglers would be back in action on day 1 when they went face-to-face with the SSHA AAA Red team! Our Wranglers would come out firing and hungry, overwhelming the SSHA Red team on the scoreboard as they came out on top with a score of 7-1 to end the day on a positive note and a 1-1 record!
Day 2 would see the 2015 Wranglers Allen go into their third ever game riding the excitement of winning their first ever tournament game. As they would clash with the Myers Snipers to start the second day of tournament action, but a strong Snipers team would stand in their way and they would drop game 3 with a score of 5-0 to the Snipers. Later in the afternoon the Wranglers would close out their round robin play against the Ottawa Colts, in a close contest with the Colts but full of heart from the Wranglers would end up with the Colts on top at the final buzzer with 5-2.
In finals action on Monday, our Wranglers would match up with the SSHA AAA Red team for consolation action. Our team would look to end the tournament on a positive note, and in a closely contested battle the Wranglers would continue to battle hard and never gave up. Their effort would be rewarded as they came away with the 2-1 victory!
