2013 Wranglers Smith Montreal Weekend Recap!
Our 2013 Wranglers Smith team opened up their spring season from Montreal as apart of the Montreal Super Challenge! Here is what went down!
Day 1 would open tournament action in a matinee matchup with the Minotaures AAA Augustin team! The Wranglers would waste no time taking the lead to start off their tournament play and wouldn't look back, winning in dominant fashion with a score of 6-1 over the Minotaures! Looking to keep riding their success from earlier in the day, the Wranglers would be back in action clashing with Performe Hockey. The game would be a heated and close battle between the two teams, so close that nothing would be solved once the final buzzer hit, ending the game in a 1-1 draw and the Wranglers still undefeated.
Day 2 the Wranglers would have a strong test when they battled the Guerriers Lauzon team. It would be another closely fought battle for the Wranglers who wouldn't give up and their effort rewarded, coming out on top 3-2 heading into their final round robin game later in the day. That game would be played against the Spartans AAA Montreal team, who the Wranglers would prove to be too much for as they would take their final game of the round robin with a 2-0 shutout! Still undefeated with a 3-0-1 record to end the round robin going into the playoffs!
Day 3 would have our Wranglers kick off the day with a quarter final matchup against the Knights AAA team, and the Wranglers would come out fast and furious not wanting to go home yet. They would do just that as they would defeat the Knights with a huge 6-1 victory to send them to the semi final! The semis would see them go head-to-head with Wolfen Hockey in a closely fought and spirited battle. The Wranglers wouldn't quit against Wolfen Hockey but would come up just short losing 5-3 and taking their only loss of the weekend in their first ever tournament with each other!
There's so much to be proud of this weekend 2013 Wranglers Smith! We definitely are, and can't wait to see how the rest of the spring season goes!
