Riot Cup Recap for the 2016 Wranglers!
The 2016 Wranglers (Seymour) were up in Ottawa this weekend for the Riot Cup along with 2 other Wranglers teams! If you're wondering how it went, we have the whole weekend's results right here for you!
Day 1 of tournament action for the Wranglers opened with a clash against the Valley Admirals, and our Wranglers would start off in spectacular fashion with a 4-0 shutout win! Later in the day the 2016 Seymour team would be back in action when they took on the Fire-Alert Selects. Our Wranglers would continue to ride their success from the morning in a close game, but still coming out on top 2-1 to end the day a perfect 2-0!
Day 2 would see our Wranglers look to continue their success as they would battle the Mustangs in a morning duel! The game would be a battle throughout all 3 periods as the Wranglers would just fall short losing 4-2 to the Mustangs. The last round robin games would see our Wranglers attempt to bounce back against the Jr Rebels, and the game would be tightly contested and would go until the very end. After the final buzzer, both the Wranglers and the Jr Rebels would be deadlocked at 2 finishing the game in a draw.
The Wranglers would end the tournament with a winning 2-1-1 record! We couldn't be more happy of our squads weekend in Ottawa for their second tournament of the year!
